als neuer Schirmherr des Deutsche Telekom Interactive TV Award möchte ich Sie herzlich begrüßen und mich für Ihr Interesse am Fernsehen der Zukunft bedanken. Mit der Übernahme der Verantwortung für den Segmentvorstandbereich Communications Services, zu dem auch der Produktbereich IPTV gehört, habe ich im Mai die Schirmherrschaft von Marc Schröder übernommen.

As the new patron of the Deutsche Telekom Interactive TV Award, I would like to welcome you wholeheartedly and thank you for your interest in the future of television. In taking over responsibility for the Communications Services department, of which IPTV is one part, I have replaced Marc Schröder as Award patron.
Als Mitglied des internen Gremiums, welches die 10 Zwischenrundenteilnehmer ausgewählt hat, hatte ich Gelegenheit, die eingereichten Konzepte im Detail kennenzulernen. Ich war überrascht, wie gut die Entwickler die Vision der Telekom von „connected life and work“ internalisiert haben. Die Teilnehmer haben sich mit dem Thema hinsichtlich der zukünftigen Möglichkeiten des internetbasierten Fernsehens auseinandergesetzt und ihre Konzepte ganz eng um diese Vision herum konzentriert. In meiner Funktion als Vorstand Marketing T-Home begleite ich unser Produkt Entertain schon seit langer Zeit. Ich freue mich deshalb besonders auf die persönliche Konzeptvorstellung und bin auf die tatsächliche Prototypisierung gespannt, die uns die nominierten Entwickler im Juli vorstellen werden. Bis dahin wünsche ich dem Blog interessante Beiträge und kreative Diskussionen wie interaktives Fernsehen die Art unserer Unterhaltung verändern wird. Beteiligen Sie sich auch am Zuschauer Wettbewerb – es winken hochwertige Preise.

As the new patron of the Deutsche Telekom Interactive TV Award, I would like to welcome you wholeheartedly and thank you for your interest in the future of television. In taking over responsibility for the Communications Services department, of which IPTV is one part, I have replaced Marc Schröder as Award patron.
As a member of the committee that selected the 10 second round participants, I acquired detailed knowledge of the concepts submitted, and was delighted at how well the developers grasped Deutsche Telekom’s vision of “connected life and work”. All of the participants have grappled with the possibilities offered by Internet-based television, and tailored their concepts very closely to this vision. In my function as head of marketing at T-Home I have had hands on experience with Entertain for a long time now. That’s why I am particularly looking forward to the concept presentations, and to the prototypes that the second round developers will show us in July. Until then, I wish the blog interesting content and creative discussion on how interactive television will change our view of entertainment. Don’t miss out on the Audience Award – and have a shot at the quality prizes.
